It has taken me at least two weeks since our photo shoot with Amy Quinn Hill to come up with words that can even begin to describe our amazing experience. I still find myself speechless from time to time and in total awe of the love she captured from behind her camera lens of my beautiful, little family. You see, I have never been to the Charleston area, let alone South Carolina. My husband was here for work and my son and I was coming out to visit. I thought to myself, what a wonderful opportunity for some “beachy” family photos! As many do, I went to the internet and began researching! I immediately fell in love with Amy’s style; simplistic, natural….timeless. I wrote her through her website and her prompt response and open communication completely exceeded my expectations. Yup, she was going to be our girl- and my goodness did we make the right choice! Our photo session was truly breathtaking and everything leading right up to it was far more than I could expect from a photographer- she told us where to meet right down to the intersection at the beach! She made this entire shoot simply flawless and I am so thankful. I hope that Amy chooses to stay in the Charleston area because I would love to come back someday and relive that photo shoot when my 7 year old is 17….You’re not just a photographer to us, you’re a talented, kind professional who clearly loves the work that she does! I hired Amy to take personal branding shots for my real estate business. Generally, I don’t love photo sessions – but this one was so different! Amy had me fill out a short questionnaire, and we met beforehand so she knew EXACTLY what I needed for my business. I was so comfortable the day of because of this meeting, it was a great ice-breaker. She gave me helpful tips on what to wear and what time of day would be best for my chosen location. She took a huge amount of pictures and sent me a sneak peek a few hours after the session. I was surprised to have the sessions photos sent to me within a few days. They were amazing! The time she took to get to know me, my business and my style really translated into the session photos. Amy photographed my fiancé and I a few weeks after our engagement, and we had the best time. She didn't position us in uncomfortable poses or force smiles from us. Instead, she gave us the freedom to be our authentic, awkward selves and we couldn't be happier with our experience. Amy came prepared with a whole bag of tricks and worked diligently (and effortlessly) to capitalize on all of the different lighting a sunset on Isle of Palms has to offer.
