Giving Back: Providing My Photography to Shine a Light on Good
A Community Baby Shower Full of Joy in Goose Creek
There’s something really special about seeing a community come together to support families, and that’s exactly what happened at Great Mt. Zion Church in Goose Creek. Organized by I Serve with Joy and Bundles of Joy Diaper Bank, with sponsorship from Humana and the generosity of Blessed Hands Food Pantry, this community baby shower brought essential supplies—and a whole lot of love—to families in need.
Cars lined up as volunteers handed out diaper bags filled with essentials, making sure little ones would have what they need in those early days. But it wasn’t just about the supplies—families also received hand-knitted blankets, a small but meaningful gesture of warmth and care.
I had the chance to be there, capturing the heart of it all, and let me tell you—the energy was incredible. People giving their time, helping others, and making sure every family left feeling supported. It was one of those moments where you really see a community at its best—lifting each other up and showing just how much good can happen when people come together.
A Beautiful Reminder of Community Support
This wasn’t just about diapers and blankets—it was about showing up for each other. I Serve with Joy, Bundles of Joy Diaper Bank, and their amazing partners are doing something truly special, making a difference one family at a time. And I’m so grateful I got to be there to witness and share the good they do.
