Let Me Answer Some of Your Questions

 

How would you describe photography style?

I will be taking photos just about every moment we will be together. Capturing personal moments of connection is what I am passionate about. But I also enjoy capturing photos in which family members connect with the camera, almost as if they are looking at you, the viewer, of the photograph. I like to capture small details that express love and connection that don’t necessarily include faces (holding hands, leaning on each other, togetherness from behind, etc.) The gallery you will receive will have an assortment of candid, directed (or posed) and lifestyle shots which will include a wide range of photos from closeups to a wider angle that captures the scene. 

How long are your sessions?

  • Lifestyle family photo sessions are approximately 1 hour.
  • Documentary family sessions are 3 hours or more.
  • Personal Branding sessions are 2 hours or 1/2 day
  • Special Occasions are 2, 4, or 6 hours and can be customized

Where will the session take place?

That is generally up to you within my area of service, Charleston and surrounding areas. It can be at your family home, local park, trail, beach or downtown Charleston. Both rural and urban locations can work really well and I can help you select the perfect location.

Can we bring along the family pet?

Yes! I am an animal lover and your pet is part of the family. If you decide to include your pet, make sure they’re groomed and on a leash and bring plenty of treats. Including your pet will impact the composition of your photos and will consume some of our time as we work to get your pet to cooperate.

Can we include the in-laws or extended family members?

The family session fee includes all of the immediate family members and grandparents. I love when I can include extended family members in a session. In most cases there is an additional fee for each additional family unit outside of the extended family.

How and when will I receive my photos?

Approximately 2 weeks after our session, I will deliver your high-resolution and professionally edited photos via a link to an on-line viewing gallery.

How many photos are included in my gallery?

I offer a choice of 3 Photo Collections and each collection contains a specific number of digital downloads, anywhere from 10 to the entire gallery.

Do you edit the photos prior to delivery?

Yes, I hand edit all of the photos. Edits include enhancements to adjust tonality, highlights and shadows and color where necessary. Additional and very specific edits can be requested and will incur an additional fee. 

Can I give you a shoot list?

Yes, once you’ve booked your session you will receive a questionnaire asking for this information. Your shoot list will be prioritized and I will work off of it during our session. The questionnaire is also designed so I can get to know you a little and so I can best serve you as your photographer.  

Can you give me some advice on what to wear?

What if a family member is sick?

We will reschedule your session in the event of a sick family member.

What happens if it rains?

We will be in touch a day or 2 prior to the session and if the forecast calls for rain we will reschedule.

What is the cost?

Session fees start at $250 for 1 hour of photography coverage. Photo collections start at $350. Each photo collection contains a specific number of digital downloads and all collections include a credit to my online store, except for personal branding sessions.

How do I book a session?
